01

Stage 1 Remap

A stage 1 remap is intended for a standard or lightly modified vehicle. It will give the vehicle superb performance gains, good fuel economy while eliminating flat spots and will give you a far more responsive drive and better driving experience. All emission systems are left as factory and will not interfere with your annual MOT.

02

Stage 2 Remap

A stage 2 remap offers a more prominent expansion in power and force than a Stage 1 Remap. Minor equipment upgrades such as induction kits, intercoolers, sports cats and decats are usually needed before a Stage 2 Remap can be applied. This additionally eliminates flat spots and gives an even more responsive drive without compromising unwavering quality.

  • DPF Solutions (OFF ROAD ONLY) & cleaning *

The diesel particulate filter is there to prevent harmful emissions. These can become blocked up and may potentially put your car into limp mode. Some of the reasons that a DPF can become blocked are listed below:

    • High mileage and compacted with fine soot.
    • Failed sensors preventing DPF regeneration.
    • Lack of additive in fuel (where fitted) causing incomplete burn off.
    • Engine issues i.e. leaking injector, valve stem oil seals, worn piston rings.
    • DPF unable to regenerate due to driving conditions i.e. City centre.
    • Poor performance tuning.
    • Driving in too low of a gear on a motorway disallowing the regeneration to commence

If you are using the vehicle off road and have had the DPF removed, then the ECU will need reprogramming which Remapped UK can offer.

  • EGR Solution * (Cleaning or OFF ROAD ONLY)

The EGR Valve creates a loop back from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold to recirculate burnt gases.  The EGR valve has a solenoid which controls the valve which in turn is controlled by the ECU. The ECU operates the solenoid by using a duty request cycle in order to open the valve and recirculate the burnt gases. The Manifold Absolute Pressure ( MAP ) sensor is then used to record the amount of additional gas which subsequently feeds back to the ECU as a control measure.

As the EGR valve is constantly working with burnt exhaust gases they naturally have high soot content. This soot in the gases causes a build-up of carbon deposits around the valve operation area which in turn causes the valve to have a tendency to stick in various positions. A problematic EGR can create an open loop environment for the turbo as it provides feedback straight to the intake manifold and as a result can cause boost issues along with huge reductions in power and also fuel economy!

If you are using the vehicle off road and would like us to delete the EGR Software from your vehicles map then this is a service which Remapped UK can offer.

  • Swirl Flap Delete

Swirl flaps are little butterfly valves situated inside the channel complex on current diesel and petroleum engines, they are intended to assist with controlling the fuel to air proportion, further develop outflows and assist with producing better force at low engine speeds. At light engine stacks the flaps close, making the air swirl into the ignition chamber, the swirling influence helps burning and assists with further developing outflows and produce more force. After 2000 rpm the flaps are for the most part initiated to a completely vacant position and have almost no impact on engine execution and outflows.

  • Adblue (SCR) Software Delete * (OFF ROAD ONLY)

Our AdBlue delete service will electronically disable the AdBlue system along with removing the associated dashboard lights and warning messages. Disabling the AdBlue system is normally completed by reprogramming the engine management system, however some vehicles will require a small electronic unit to be hardwired into the vehicle.

If you are using the vehicle off road and would like us to delete the Ad-blue from your vehicles map then this is a service which Remapped UK can offer.

  • Lambda/O2 Delete * (OFF ROAD ONLY)

O2 Delete remaps are for those who have fitted either sports cats or decat pipes within their exhaust system and are subsequently having problems with the engine light being triggered due to emissions faults for error codes P0420 and P0430 (Cat efficiency). We can solve this problem by disabling these checks within the ECU map.

If you are using the vehicle off road and would like us to delete the Software from your vehicles map then this is a service which Remapped UK can offer.

  • MAF Delete (MAF to Map Switch)

MAF deactivation is not recommended as it is a very important sensor for fuel regulation, but sometimes (normally on high powered tuned cars with bigger turbo/injector modifications) the MAF reading hits its maximum value and touches the maximum allowed voltage read by the sensor making a fault code in the ECU and places the vehicle into a safe mode (limp mode).

On vehicles so equipped, this alternative involves the use of a manifold absolute pressure, or MAP, sensor. The MAP sensor measures pressure in an engine’s inlet manifold. When coupled with RPM data, and a table of volumetric efficiency over the operating range of the engine, the MAP sensor can be used by the engine management computer to calculate fuel requirements.

  • Hard Cut / Popcorn Limiter * (OFF ROAD ONLY)

We have seen a rise in demand for popcorn limiters on diesel vehicles. A popcorn limiter basically changes the way a diesel car behaves when the engine hits the rpm limiter. Most stock diesel vehicles will hit the pre-set rpm limiter and will stay at that exact rpm point until the driver intervenes (soft cut limiter). However, with a popcorn limiter applied the engine will bounce at the limiter in a similar way to a petrol vehicle (hard cut limiter).

The popcorn limiter has no performance advantage, it is simply a feature that can be enabled during the remap in order to change how the engine behaves and sounds when the rpm limiter is reached.

If you are using the vehicle off road and would like us to amend the Software from your vehicles map then this is a service which Remapped UK can offer.

  • Speed Limiter Removal / Enable

Many vehicles are programmed with a speed limiter which are set by the manufacturer or sometimes by a third party if it was a company vehicle. Our speed limiter removal software allows the vehicle to reach its top speed. However, we are mindful of international road and highway laws and take the opportunity to stress our service is intended for track use only.

  • Rev Limit Adjustment

RPM limiters are set into place to protect the engine and drivetrain from excessive speeds, however some rev limiters are set very low and can be safely increased to expand the useable RPM range of the engine. RPM limits can be adjusted on both petrol and diesel vehicles.

RPM limits are particularly useful on highly modified vehicle especially where the engine has been rebuilt with forged and balanced components that allow higher engine speeds

  • Launch Control

Our Launch control Software manages the amount of power to the wheels optimum traction is achieved.

From 2-4 MPH the RPM is limited to 2500 RPM. Once the predetermined speed is reached the RPM Limiter will automatically move to normal RPM and from that point maximum power is allowed.

  • DSG tuning / Remapping

Many will argue that the DSG gearbox is one of the finest auto gearboxes available on the market today. Its ability to change gear in a fraction of a second and predict the drivers next move is a masterpiece of engineering. However, like with all OEM systems it can be restrictive, often restricting the performance of vehicles by holding back the torque available, our custom DSG Remaps are designed to remove these restrictions and adjust the settings to compliment ECU Remaps.

Our custom DSG Remapping service will alter the following parameters / options:

    • Increasing the torque limiter
 - When remapping the engine management system torque limiters are increased, however if the vehicle is equipped with a DSG gearbox the engine output will be limited by the torque limiter set in the DSG module. We raise the DSG torque limiter to match the engine torque output. Most DSG vehicles restrict the torque to 50Nm Torque more than the standard vehicle, most remaps will normally produce more torque than this, so the DSG really does restrict performance.
    • Quicker Shift Speeds
 - Shift speeds can be increased by up to 30%, this reduces lag and improves acceleration. The quicker shift speeds will also give a smoother transition between gear changes and improve paddle shift response time.
    • RPM Limits & Shift Set Points
 - RPM limits and shift set points can be adjusted in drive and sports mode. Adjusting the rpm limiter as part of the engine ECU remap is not enough on a DSG equipped vehicle. The DSG ECU will determine at what rpm the gear shift takes place.

*Please note: these solutions are for OFF ROAD USE ONLY. They are software solutions and not the physical removal or disabling of these functions. Regulation 61a of the road vehicles (constructions and use) regulations.
